Re: Mass defringe plug-in

Just some thoughts on what might be done. No guarantee that this works for everything but bluescreen with video often uses a look-up-table (CLUT) If it is only a dozen layers, then by hand but if say 50 or 80 layers this might save some time. This is a possible workflow in Gimp 2.10.14 using the sep...

Re: Update gradient-bevel-logo.scm

Do not hold you breath for a fix. Even if the devs do something (not guaranteed) it will not come in until the next version is released. Back to the quick-n-dirty fix. Use the old script / plugin bump map from Gimp 2.8 gradient-bevel-logo.zip Script goes in C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2...

Re: Update gradient-bevel-logo.scm

You can adjust the script as that fix ( bumpmap ambient parameter range changed from 0 - 255 to 0 - 1.0 for GEGL) But it will still not work. It is not the only script that has stopped working. FWIW I posted a bug report. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/4267 Usually I get shot down but le...

Re: GIMP 2.10.xx official vs. Partha vs. Samj

I would not worry too much unless you are very short on memory. Gmic is an interpreted 'language' Most of 520 filters are script and only run when called. There are some interactive filters which take up more memory. This example, one I use often use, 'Interactive colour curves' where there is a cho...

Re: Please help me find a script

This is what you remember: http://refocus.sourceforge.net/ not a script, a compiled plugin and the most up-to-date version that I know of: https://www.deviantart.com/photocomix-resources/art/Refocus-plugin-windows-OS-81588756 I just tried it in Win10/Gimp 2.10 and it does work...but...it comes from ...

Re: GIMP 2.10.xx official vs. Partha vs. Samj

Again just some thoughts: Windows File Explorer has hardly changed since Windows XP. A bit of a disgrace. Get a decent two-pane file manager such as multicommander http://multicommander.com/downloads There are others. This example running the portable version from a 'external' disk. https://i.imgur....

Re: GIMP 2.10.xx official vs. Partha vs. Samj

@Pat625 - just long time use, since Gimp 2.2. Ah nostalgia, Windows installation: Want python support? 3 separate installations from 3 different maintainers and the versions had to match. Then you could install GTK+ and finally install GIMP. Happy days (much prefer the present versions) @Lenny My su...

Re: GIMP 2.10.xx official vs. Partha vs. Samj

A sort of overview First the mechanics. Gimp.org is a 'combined' installer 64 and 32 bit versions in the same installer. Unfortunately the latest versions do not always work with a 32 bit Windows 7. Fortunately not may of those around now. However it does mean that there is 'some' 32 bit support for...

Re: Revive a broken(?) script

Might be better with another example. That one works here (I think) linux Gimp 2.10.12 Some stats: The image is 16 bit greyscale with Epson icc. - I kept that icc when opening the image. Running the script: The backup tif is largely the same as the original unmodified. 16 bit greyscale with Epson ic...

Re: Circle Map plug-in

Don't know if this feature is in GIMP yet or not. But this logic/math was easily copied from the net for perfect mapping from square/rectangle (rectangle is scaled down to square) then mapped to the unit circle and scaled to fit square layer size. There is the same in gmic_gimp_qt Deformations -> S...
