Good to have alternatives, tested on a simple path made in Inkscape. Gonna try with stick fonts next.

You're welcome Wallace, that's nice. But I see the problem with W compared to the rest of test. That could have been avoided by using different setting for the allace path (number of frames to paint the path). I'd say about x 3 times the frames you have in the capital W would have been good, roughly...

Haha, here's my first submission.
I couldn't get the old animated fire to work, it complained about solid noise plug-in so I used multiple zooms for background.
