Another starry night

Post#1 by RJKD » 29 May 2017, 18:27

From Un4gven;
Open your new project (I like 1920 x 1080 for space scenes) with black.
Go to.Filters>Noise>HSV...
Holdness 4
Hue 3
Sat 10
Value 253 - ok
Go to>Filters>Light and shadow>Sparkle>Default - ok
New black layer
Go to>Filters>Render>Clouds>Difference clouds>Default - ok Layer mode Burn. (this takes off some of the spokes from Sparkle)
New white layer
Go to>Filters>Render>Clouds>Plasma>Default - ok (you can play with colors to you preference) Layer mode Dodge. (this gives random color stars)
That's your starry sky.

That's something I need to get to grips with and learn 'how to' properly, - I agree.

I have had a kind offer of help from Conbagui to create tutorials, unfortunately my file is to large for a PM for him to check so I've posted it without scrutiny. Also, i don't know how to publish to the web - vis-a-vis forums.
