Calcule the destination of your next trip

Post#1 by Krikor » 24 Apr 2020, 11:07

01 - Choose a number between 1 and 9.
02 - Multiply it by 3.
03 - Add 3.
04 - Multiply by 3 again.
05 - Add the two digits of that number - Example: 31 = 3 + 1 ==> 4 Or 26 = 2 + 6 ==> 8
06 - The number you got is the place you will be traveling to.

Note to self: I had to figure it out why so.
you have a number n.
Then you multiply by 3 so 3n.
add 3 then (3n+3) then mutliplied by 3.
so 3(3n+3) = 9n + 9 which is always a multiple of 9(n+1)...and we know that with multiple of 9's when you add digits you'll always get 9...that's why this magical puzzle worked all the time.
