Clear Glass Brumbies Script for GIMP

Requirements:
- You must have Bevel Reflect Logo script (as mentioned in the tutorial requires).
- You must have the gemclear.png from tutorial in order to locate it when you run script.

with hinting (2 layers, one black and white)

Script menu location: Python-Fu > OMG brummy aka transparent glass...

Instructions:
0. Fulfill requirements mentioned above.
1. Have an image with at least 2 layers.
- a background layer at bottom (see label 1)
- an ACTIVE black and white outline of object/brummy (see label 2) (you wish to turn into glass).

2. Run script.
3. Select background layer as first input, browse to the gemclear.png as second input. and OK to Run Script.
4. Let the magic happen.

Sample result (i just ran script on 2 different copies of one brummy).

With this one i deleted the top layer (the copy of background, overlay).
Recreated overlay with shadow included, And used displace and used the fill layer as input for displace map and whirl of 20 pinch of 20.

Tin - that is an impressive script (but I would say that wouldn't I :D ).

Excellent results and I almost feel like I have my name up there in lights; I am presuming that if one uses black text on a white background as the topmost layer, then the result will be glass text.

Oh, and don't forget Brumbies not Brummies!

Quickly tried the script out for text and with some minimal 'jiggery pokery' on the created layers, you can create outline or filled glass text - voila ...

OOPS I forgot to alter the shadow for the outline text, but that really matters not :oops:
