Since I had time today, I could not stop playing! I made a Splash as had not done one for awhile.

Instead of a random splash do you think it'll be possible to have a memo of the xcf file when you double clic on it ? it may show a visible layer of your current work and some note you 've done to finish (for example). it could be the way you open a project under Gimp. It's just an idea that would makes Gimp a better software.
Sorry if you can't understand me, my english is not very good.

I don't think you can make splash screen do anything (such as react to double clicks).
Do you mean you want to open recent? Open recent opens your latest work (if you have saved it).

if you double click on a xcf file it will start Gimp. When starting it shows a random splash. Instead of that useless splash is it possible to show a visual note about this file , For example an arrow to remember me to add a shadow at the layer #6 ?

How does gimp know what to remind you to do?

I don't think splash screen can do that.
I guess a script can export a layer to the splash folder but you'd have to run the script and if you open any image it just show that splash.
anyways, that sounds like more work (even if it did work) then just making a personal note in a text editor yourself.
