Re: Custom Splashes for Gimp

Here's an idea, what if you make a splash for each script. So that every time GIMP loads up, it'll remind you that you have that plug-in and you might be like "Hey, yeah, I haven't used that script in a while maybe i'll use it".
Here's my first one featuring Mahvin Camouflage and in Halloween-ish feel.

And this one will randomly remind me that I have Lyle Style Details for gimpchat.com

These should work really well if you have bad memory and can't remember what nifty filters you have over time.

I just put my portfolio into my splashes folder (all sizes) and they work just fine, great fun.

That is a good idea. I thought that I might put some of the images I worked on for the forum in the splashes folder. That would also remind me of tutorials I have done and things learned that I need to revisit.

:D yeah and then on one random day in the future, when you load up gimp not knowing what you'll play with it'll give you idea to play.

 :D Tin, I like your idea to have a splash for each script, but . . . .As fast as you guys have been coming up with scripts, I would have to do them day and night to keep up!

well not every script just the ones you like, so that you'll be reminded of your favorites one day.
