I can so identify with your process Ella and I'm glad I've accepted each 'failure' is another step to success 😁

Ella - I accept your challenge. Although my time with GIMP is limited right now I am about 50% of the way through it. :P

Yes Richard, failure is a part of life. And indeed, sometimes a way to success...

Wow OMG, already 50% way through. That's much faster than me. You make me curious :)

I made my own background paper and two snowflake brushes. If anyone would like to use the brushes, feel free.
I'll post them in a zip folder.

Ella - here is my attempt at the ukulele challenge you set me.

I'm only reasonably happy with it as I had a lot of trouble withe the string knots! I even looked at guitar stringing videos and how to pages but I should have started with a much larger canvas and then scaled the strings down. I originally created a light coloured instrument, but felt it needed to be darker and, again, I probably should have used a different wood pattern, Whatever, here it is anyway.

Thank you for the remarks, Leopardo and Nancy.

OMG, don't be too hard on yourself. I'm always thunderstruck by your recreated outcomes.
Changing sizes can cause distortions in Gimp. That's what I experienced myself already.
Still I'm always surprised how well you can imitate the Blender outcomes.
Very well done!
