The first option is clean.
It will help to clean up your subject,
but only to a certain degree. If you
still see artifacts it is best to clean the subject manually first.
Here are some pictures.

In the 2nd picture, a transparent layer was created below the subject layer,
and set to white color. The opacity was lowered to 2 percent.
The subject layer and the transparent layer were set visible and
New from visible layer whas then used as the subject for the example.

4th & 5th F ball subject, #4 was not cleaned and #5 was cleaned.

The 2nd Option is number of Rotations.
If you are not scaling or trimming the subject or moving the pivot point,
Extra rotations won't do anything for a static image.
For a gif it will continue on in the same path, unless on of the other options
is used.

The third image was made by merging all the layers to make the png outcome.

The 3rd option is number of slices.
This one is easy, but here is an example of all numbers of slice options in range of 2 to 5,760

Direction is another simple one, the slice angle is either positive for clockwise rotation,
or negative for counter clockwise rotation.

But the nice thing is that the subject may look way better in one direction or the other.

The example on top is counter clockwise, center is clockwise (which I liked better),
and the bottom is clockwise but using extreme cleaning and a background.
You may see the improvement between the middle and bottom due to the cleaning.

Number 5 option is the Pivot.
Here are some examples that I hope will make the
'automatic' pivots clear.

The top is the subject,
2nd is the subject with its bounding box in black
3rd is the subject with its bounding box in black and the 5 choices of pivot points are show in green.
4th is the subject rotating around the center pivot. You can see how the layer size will need to change

More on pivot point, this time the pivot point is the UPPER LEFT of the bounding box.
The rotation direction is Clockwise, so the start is in the bottom right hand
The number of slices is 4.
Top shows the outcome with the subject inside the bounding box and the pivot point in green
2nd shows bounds of the 2nd frame
3rd shows bounds of the 3rd frame
4th shows bounds of the 4th frame

Each of the images is of the outcome.

More on pivot point, this time an off the subject pivot.
There are some instructions on the images
