I took your last image, Pat, then I resized to 3000x1875, added a PP unsharp mask at 1.0 then applied the filter (adding chroma).
I think that the effect is better IMO starting from a large image (I wrote to Brian about that).

I played with your suggestion, Dinasset. The results with the same settings are quite different! Using a large image to start with produced a more defined image.

Yes, I guess that until Brian does not
- either set the parameters linked to the image size
- or run internally the filter always on the same large size (rescaling at end)
this is a good escape for getting details
