Flamboyant script

Post#1 by animicule » 23 Jan 2017, 18:12

Here is my script to do a Flamboyant treatment of an image.
It required G'Mic version 1.79 to run.
It is based on LyleJK 's process, Thank you Lyle!!
Per Pat's request!

Here is also version 5_200 which only runs with G'Mic 2.0.0 (at this time)
Changed the 2x subject size to double the process size unless process size == 0 for same as subject size.
Also, removed the Presets.
Also, replaced rodilius(sp?) with fade/boost.
Remember, this one only works if you have the G'Mic pre-release 2.0.0

Scripts are being updated at this time for gmic qt 2.00 stable version

Thank you, Brian. Now people can get to your wonderful script. I love the examples you gave. Have you thought about getting your scripts posted on GimpScripts?

It doesn't really matter much to me if they are on Gimpscripts.
Thank you for asking!

I did a few tests. If you don't mind I would post a suggestion.
It seems that there are parameters which should be (but are not) related to the image size to get a consistent result.
I took an image 960x640, run the filter with defaults+chroma
Rescaled the image to 3000x2000 and repeated
Rescaled the image to 5000x3333 and repeated.
Here the results, much different each other IMHO.
Hence my suggestion:
a) correlate the used filters parameters to the image size
OR
b) run always the filter using a standard large size, then rescale
You may think about.
Thanks

@animicule, could you please attach the script for Meemaw (and possibly others).
Or @dinasset and @Pat625, would you still have a copy of this script to attach it to this thread.
Because as it is right now, the thread is broken without a script.
Thanks in advance.

Or post the script to www.gimpscripts.com and link from here to it (that's okay too as long as the script is available so that the thread doesn't "suck").
