Cross hair colour on Free Select tool

Is it possible to change the colour of the cross hair on the Free Select Tool?

Richard, don't know if you can change the color of the cross hair on the free select tool.
What I do know is you can change the cross hair into a pointer as in previous versions of Gimp.

Wallace made a tutorial about it.

I had never thought about it before, and I didn't even test it to see if it would work, but here's a suggestion:
Locate the file crosshair.png, in my gimp it is in Gimp-2.10.11_Portable-32-64bit-Win_20190412 \ share \ gtk-doc \ html \ pygtk \ cursors but in your Gimp it may be on a slightly different path.

Edit this crosshair.png with the desired color and replace it in the folder.
Keep the original crosshair.pgn in another folder as a backup, or change its name to something like crosshair.pgn.bak
Restart Gimp and see if it worked.
