I have increased the range of greys available to select from when creating bumpmaps of characters and also provided a number of gradient fills to use. These provide subtle differences in applying the patterned (environment) layer to the character.
I have also reworked the overlaying of light effects on the characters. A new legend is added to the layer stack with each overlay as an aide memoire.
There are lots of options to play with - made myself dizzy trying some of them out with different modes.
