DIEGO Transfer Colours Plug-in for GIMP 2.10

I just tried to run this old plug-in and it broke in 2.10.8 (Re: this question by Alchemist).
I found that if I changed the tile calculations from 64 to 128, it'll run in fine in GIMP 2.10.8. So here are the plug-ins (You need both installed.

DIEGO_COLOURS_TransferColours.py
Version 1.10 (Tested in GIMP 2.10.8 on Linux)

diego_stretch_rgb_colours.py
Version 1.11 Moved some code to 1st line so Windows would run
(6.5 KiB) Downloaded 172 times
DIEGO_COLOURS_TransferColours.py
Version 1.11 Moved some code to 1st line so Windows would run
(19.74 KiB) Downloaded 198 times
Plug-in Menu Location: Diego/Colours/TransferColours
Instructions:
  1. Have the source and target images opened.
  2. Select the target image.
  3. Run Plug-in (Diego/Colours/TransferColours), select Source image, then OK to run Plug-in.
  4. That's it let it run. you'll get a new image of the result.

Sample Run Result (used sample images from previous examples to show that it still functions similarly if not exact to old version):

Hello Tim,
Thank you for taking the time to look at these plugins, but bad news for me. Think I used up all my good luck when I was very young. I downloaded your fixed plugins, uninstalled the old ones and restarted Gimp. They Don't even show up, as a matter of fact I have tried 7 of Diego's plugins and none of them show up!? The only difference is I am on a Windows 10 machine with Gimp 2.10.8, but I can't see why that would make a difference.

Thanks again, I'll keep hacking away at it.

Alchemist, try version 1.11 for both files, I moved some python env line to 1st line so it would work on Windows.
It showed up on Windows for me...Except my Windows GIMP 2.10 is half-butt I can't even browse procedural db on Windows so I can't fix my own complaining about plug-in decompose not defined. I think it's just my Windows is missing things.

UPDATE: I accidentally excluded GIMP 2.10 plug-ins default lib folder that's why I got depcompose error. I added back in and version 1.11 runs fine on Windows now.

Both the Stretch RGB and Transfer Colours worked fine on Win 10 and Gimp 2.10.10. I recall I also had tile error messages with other Diego scripts, so the 64-to-128 solution looks very promising.

Can you explain exactly what this does? I'm not familiar with the original plugin, and I'm not finding it in a search for some reason.

It tries to transfer colors of source onto target image.

Thanks a heap, Tin. That was one of my preferred filters, so I can use it again, great.

Dinasset,
Thanks for the great filter.
It's such a great filter I didn't want it to die in new GIMP version luckily your code was still all good, I thought it was fluky and that I found the 128 thing instead of 64. If it was other complex errors I might have given up.
