Could anyone provide me with a copy of Graechans "Snow Covered" script please?

@RJKD, I searched for this script. So I installed it and tested it but in my Gimp version 2.10.12 it didn't work even after I applied Tim's constantize script.
So I already uninstalled and deleted the copy I had downloaded.
Maybe someone has a version that works on Gimp version 2.10.

You may try my version, it works on my Samj's Gimp 2.10.14

Hi Dinasset,
I didn't write down the error message I received when I tested Graechans SnowCovered's script, but I have the vague impression that it's the same as when I tried your version.

I don't know if my approach was correct:
In a transparent layer, I created selections using Free Select Tool, then ran the script:
--------------------
Snow Cover Alpha Warning
Error while executing script-fu-snow-cover-alpha:

Error: ( : 1) eval: unbound variable: NORMAL-MODE

GIMP Warning
Plug-in 'Snow Cover Alpha' left image undo in inconsistent state, closing open undo groups.
------------------

Using here Samj's portable 2.10.12

Krikor,
I do not why but in my samj's Gimp I do not get those errors, probably because by default (not my choice...) it runs in compatibility mode, hence it accepts "old" style for the parameters.
I could analyze the code, but you can do the same with the advantage of immediately checking whether the fixes are correct (you get compatibility errors, I don't).
I guess you know how to fix the parameters, just checking the pdb.
Should be this too difficult for you, I may in a second time try to "modernize" the filter myself.
Let me know your success/unsuccess.

@dinasset, I also tried with version 2.10.1, same bugs.

I don't know what 'Run in compatibility mode' would be like, but if it is by default then I should also be operating in that mode, since I didn't make any changes to the versions I installed, other than adding scripts and plugins.

About scripting language, pdb, etc, I'm pretty layman on this subject, an honorary noob. Maybe I will try to change that by 2020 and try to learn a little.

I also had problems with the fencepost snow script in version 2.10.12, although in others I could run it.

Version 2.10.14, from my experience as a user, has had so many irregularities and incompatibilities with scripts that have been running since the first version of generation 2.10, that I can't see it as a serious test version, let alone for definitive use. .

It would be expected that because we use the same version we had the same functionality for the same scripts, but I don't know why this dissonance.

In any case, maybe your version of the script is exactly what @RJKD is looking for! ;)

I tried the script out on my Windows 10 normal installation of Gimp 2.10.14
Logo and Snow Covered Alpha both ran without errors.
Nce Script, Thanks dinasset.

Krikor, I will try to do the work for you. But You have to perform the test afterwards because I can't evaluate whether the fixes solved your problem. I'll post as soon as ready the amended version.
Tom, thank for your confirmation on its possibility to produce what expected (you have to thank Graechan, he is the author of the script, I just made very little modifications)

Krikor,
attached a version with the fixes I suppose are needed for you to run the script.
Could you give it a try and tell me the result?
Both the "Logo" function and the "Alpha-to-Logo" function are here suffixed with "-k" to distinguish from the original. Test THIS version suffixed by -k and not the original in your new tests.
You will find these entries in Gimp menus:
- Addons/AddSCM/Alpha-to-Logo/Snow Cover Alpha...(K)
- Addons/AddSCM/Logos/Snow Cover Logo...(K)
