Gimp vs Photoshop

I am creating this topic because there's a high interest in this topic (searched 72 times with no results previously on our forum).

Personally, I use GIMP because it's free and there was a time when i pirated Photoshop but then later discovered GIMP which is 100% and legal and since then i never really felt like i was missing out on Photoshop.

I did take a course in school that used Photoshop but I wished the school taught us using GIMP instead.

Abobe Creative Cloud customers have been hit by a major price rise with some UK users about to see their subscriptions almost double in price.
The US technology company, who's products include Photoshop and InDesign, have blamed the increase on "currency exchange rates".
In the email, which was sent out this morning, Adobe says: "We wanted to share some important information about your renewal price.
"As part of doing business globally, Adobe monitors currency exchange rates in order to make adjustments to our pricing up or down as needed.
"You may be aware that currency exchange rates have fluctuated significantly over the last few years.
"As a result of recent changes in exchange rates in your region, the price of Adobe products and services is increasing starting on 6 March 2017."

In the UK, Highway robbery used to be a capital offence, now they call it business.
