Finding LayerFX really useful for complimenting painting techniques...however, I'm really struggling with painting hair, has anyone here had any previous success with this, although I'm following YouTube tutorials, they all seem a bit cartoonish, not the effect I'm wishing to create, I would like a painterly effect.

Sorry RJKD, can't help you with this. Hair is always a problem to draw, paint or to cut out.
