Thank you my friend, I was thrown for a little bit when it didn't mention making the opacity of the text to 0. But learning a little and checking your wonderful photos I saw where I was going wrong.

Yes, in the illustration I have the Text opacity on 0, thank you for the catch. But it does not make any difference because when you use the Pattern Overlay, it will cover the Text whether you have an invisible text or not. The Pattern Overlay will override the Text color when the Overlay is in a normal Blend mode.
