When you have many bookmarks on your bookmark bar, they all don't fit and you'd have to click on the arrow (#1) to see more bookmarks.
As you start to add more bookmarks, they are usually very descriptive (#2).
But as you're familiar with the sites that you regularly visit, there's no need to have full description.
You can right click each bookmark and Edit or Properties and change the Name of bookmark to an abbreviation (#3) that you can easily recognize.
This way they'll take less space and you can fit more bookmarks without having to the click the arrow (#1) too much.
For sites that you easily recognize with just the logo, you can even delete the Name of bookmark (making it blank) so it takes even less space (#4).
Now you can have a ton more of bookmarks on your bookmarks bar without.
I hope you enjoyed this trick.
I have used browsers for years and never thought about this until i noticed having to click the arrow (#1) too often.

Or you can just make folders and put similar links in them.
Just right click on the favorites bar and 'new folder', and add what you want into them.
The folders give you a dropdown and the links can have long descriptive names.
It even give you an option to open in tabs to open all bookmarks in the folder, if you need to work between 2 or more websites
at the same time.

These kind of tips are just what I need. I often think folk are a bit concerned about maybe offending another's intelligence, for a tech beginner like me it's fab. I've had to look up the meaning of words like parameters so I can follow advice. Share the knowledge, thanx.
