How to make a Spinning Coin without GAP

I made the tutorial of the Spinning Coin.
I like to credit ccbarr who made the original one with GAP.
Also credit to telperion who made me understand the technique of the spinning.

If there's something not clear or I have made a mistake, please let me know.
Then I'll edit the tutorial.

Have fun ! (and patience  )

Issabella and Conbagui, thanks for the comments.

RJKD, I opened your coin in GIMP.

The only thing you did wrong to create a smoother effect was you didn't delete the bottom layer background
after you combined it with the coin layers.
Combining a background has always an extra background layer. You have to remove that.

It was still there, I deleted it and... "voila" :)

I also think you scaled a larger image for the coins. That gives a less sharp effect.
I always make my animations the size I want to export them.

Ella, you have really done it! You have made the spinning coin and have written a wonderful tutorial. I love it. Without GAP or similar program it is a lot of manual work but you handled it all so beautifully. I now understand more about animation and how to use map to object than previously as I have not used it very much. Thank you again!
