Tim, I discovered the problem: paths are sensible to image dpi, my image has 240 dpi; once copied changing to 100 dpi, the mistery disappearted!
I post here the original, so you can make tests.

Thank you for finding this out dinnaset.
I have made version 2 of script (it sets dots per inch to 72, GIMP's defaults, then after loading the path it sets dots per inch back to what you originally have).
See post #1 for version 2 of script.

version 2 doesn't read dpi info (just assumes exported .svg was exported at 72 dpi).
version 3 reads dpi info but then relative modes are off.
version 4 is good because it reads original dpi info and uses to scale so that relative modes would work properly.
