Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Photoshop and GIMP comparison

I was curious in finding out how these terms compare on Google Trends:
GIMP, Photoshop, Michael Jackson, and Justin Bieber.

And here's the graph of interest over time.

So for about every 10 people who know or search for Justin Bieber, only 1 person will search for GIMP.
About every 7 who search for Photoshop, only 1 person will search for GIMP.
and about every 3 people who search for Michael Jackson, only one person will search for GIMP.
GIMP is still a big secret to many people...
But you know what that means? That means there's still a ton of room to grow.

Gimp has little to no mainstream media presence, with even less funding to be able to do so.
Whereas Photoshop, has both presence and funding.
Not to mention the massive mainstream media presence, and funding for the likes of a Michael Jackson or Justin Bieber.

I see lots of people search for Photoshop tutorials.
If i was good enough to understand the equivalence of tutorials steps in GIMP... I'd start translating them to GIMP tutorials one by one..but I am just not that advanced or know if there are equivalent steps.

For the most part, some PS tutorials can be translated into GIMP tutorials.
However, there are some things within PS, which have no translation into GIMP and vice versa.

I don't feel that PS tutorials should be translated, for use in GIMP.
GIMP should have it's own tutorials, that can produce it's own outcomes based on what the idea is suppose to show.

Making a "web button" in GIMP, Is and should be different form making one in PS.

I am not even advanced enough to do tutorials in anything hehehe.
Maybe GIMP just doesn't have enough cool tutorials to attract more people.
