My friend suggested that i should stream of my process of scripting

so you can view a very first stream here -> https://www.twitch.tv/trandoductin
just click on videos there's only one right now.
That documents the process of scripting a Picture to Line Art following Mahvin's tutorial on his webpage.
Enjoy. Hopefully people who haven't scripted before in python learns something and jump in to produce scripts.
Now I just need more script requests to stream more.

My first few streams uploaded to youtube.

Would you believe it - in my morning meditation I asked for the courage to mentally 'man-up' and start to learn scripting, tune in to GimpLearn and T's a step ahead, thank you man, spent a cursory half hour and learned so much - however the audio quality isn't so good. Please keep going with this T, thank you so much. (got as far as installing notepad :happy_purple: )

Thank you for this T, wow, I'm learning about attention to detail, obviously not my strong point, been looking for a missing comma for 2 hours - worth the joy of achievement.

yeah the commas always takes the most time.
I remember programming in Java back in the day and a comma wasted my whole morning.

PS: A second stream is now up walking on how i add/allow user inputs to be used in scripts

I was looking for a tutorial to have a crack at a script - do you think this is a bridge to far for my first go? http://www.gimpusers.com/tutorials/wireframe-planet

It's certain a good one for you to practice different GIMP pdb calls.
Dive right in....Just dive right in.... even if you fail you 'll learn something along the way.

I think the map object will be the most difficult call to make for beginners.
But if you try to do manually map object and see what the default values are in order to fill them out in pdb call while changing values you want to change that are different from default value you should be okay.

Have you made the filter 'public' (or whatever the correct term is), there's a lot of image to drawing on a different thread?
