I like where this is going dinasset, how did you achieve the outcome on natalia_by_xeneras-d74mwr4, with a strong iridescent look.jpg please?
Applying this curve:
pdb.gimp_curves_spline (strong_iridescent, HISTOGRAM1, 32,
( 0, 0,
15, 31, 31, 15, 47, 79, 63, 31,
79, 127, 95, 47, 111, 175, 127, 63,
143, 191, 159, 111, 175, 207, 191, 159,
207, 231, 223, 199, 239, 255, 255, 239)
)
RJKD, if you want to try this curve on the python console, do the following:
1-open the image you want to apply it to
2-open python console
3-enter as per this snapshot

OK, try this "test-filter" and play with it.

I'm going to find out how to use the code you posted (half way there with your help, thank you) meanwhile, for me this is the grooviest filter :gimp_clap:

Every time you use it (selecting one of the options) you get 3 different layers with strong, medium, light effect, among which you may choose.

Are you referring to the "iridescent" effect?
What about the "oniric" effect?
