My friend Dinasset, I don't see those last results of yours so nice as others. But it's only my personal taste as RJKD sees them brilliant. So, excuse me. :(
Thanks for your comment, no "excuse".
As stated many times, I like (and need) to receive any kind of comments/critics, each one is helpful to understand how a planned image manipulation is acceptable or controversial. Silence is much more "painful", for me at least.

At the moment the score is: 1 to 1.

OK Dinasset, I'm happy you accept it so nice. But it's clear that each person has different tastes and appreciations. :)

I'm waiting on additional positive/negative comments.
Also interesting would be the opinion of persons who have created (or anyhow own) patchworks; this will add an evaluation of the approximation obtained.

Dinasset, I liked your ""phantasy" images a lot. I am not an abstract art lover so some of the images that have a pattern that obliterates the main subject, or makes it difficult to realize what is really in the image do not speak to me. Although I really loved the crochet, and knit effects, I really do not care for the patchwork as in your last images. It is too "spotty" for me. When there are 2 or 3 different textures on a face or arm, the features of the person are lost. Again, my opinion only.

Thanks for your comment, Pat. So, you are in sync with Issabella. Very likely a patchwork must start with a drawing, not a picture, otherwise the split into colour areas (and subsequent filling with different fabrics) does not keep correctly the figure's components, as you and Issa noticed.
Thanks again.

You know me now, thank you, as expected I really like this effect. I have a friend Alain Pelletier on Facebook who does a lot with fractal using Photoshop and I know others on Gimp forums sometimes use other fractal apps, this I would love to do but I have Gimp and am sticking with Gimp.
I like the fact that you maintained the hounds hair, great texture - looks deep.
