Ella - thank you for your kind comment.

Pat - thank you too. You asked what technique I used on the roses image; well that one was created using line art with selective BRLs and a mixture of my own and wallace's limestone e-maps. Originally I did it as an 'inlay' with some discrete chisel/carve effects too, as shown below -

Fran6 - thank you for your kind comment. hey did you see in Gimp Chat, that a 'fractal relief' post came up in my tutorial thread from two years back - you were the one that inspired that tut.

OK last one for now featuring limestone/stone textures; other ideas have started to flow -

@OMG This is an amazing tutorial. You've done many tutorials for our community that are great.
I have some more ideas for fractals and other effects. But there are so many subjects to investigate...
Since 2 years several graphic subjects were at the top of activity. I discovered many of them while Gimp learn forum appears thanks to Tim. So, after health problems, I'm back and I spend some time to read what is new. But the train is fast, and new subjects appear every days. Gimp community is prolific ! Glad to see brillant people in that train. :yay_yay_purple:

Fran6 - again thank you for your comments. I do feel though, that if it is possible then I will give something back to the forums from which I have learnt so much.

I also really hope that your are in better health now and sympathise with you, as most of us oldies appear to be going through health issues of one kind or another.

Now I know that I said above that I was finished with limestone, but what the heck, here are a couple which I thought I had already posted but obviously not -
