Ella in some way has posed a challenge for me with her comments about the thick rimmed shiny cup from Blender not being possible in GIMP. I will not clutter her thread with my attempts, but I am sure GIMP can 'compete', its just a matter of finding how. So here is my first attempt ... slowly slowly as the saying goes ... and also here is an attempt at making a fractal ilke image in GIMP.

OMG I love all of your flowers both glass and living, and that mug is amazing also!! I keep being drawn to the beautiful flower you posted, I hope you don't mind my playing around with it. It's been amazing to see what one figure can become, I won't post all my plays here (I tend to go overboard :D ) but I did want to share how your beautiful garden inspires half way around the world.

Nancy - Thank you. I find gardens and flora inspirational all the time. :D

Richard - thank you; I feel I still need to refine the mug rim process to minimise the colour change between it and the side of the mug - let's say WIP.

Issabella - thank you; I am both flattered and embarrassed by your kind words. I still believe that GIMP and its script writers are the artists and I am the artisan that just puts the building blocks together :)

Still experimenting, so here is one looking through a train window -

OMG, you are very intelligent and have a lot of talent. All the tools in the world might be nice, but are useless if you don't know what to do with them. You obviously do!
