Well I raised a memory from the early 60s, so now one from the late 50s ... a quote from Shakespeare and I even remember the teachers name too.

Thank you Nancy, Pat, Ella and Tim. You know I just love GIMP and what it can do especially for us older folks - it is such a creative activity and of course goes well with gardening :D

Ella - interestingly the teachers name was Booy, apparently a rare and interesting surname of Dutch origin. Its a topographical name for a "dweller by the small harbour or little boats". The derivation of the name is from the Dutch "bootje", little boat.

The annual sculptures by the sea exhibition opened this week here. It features sculptures placed on beaches and the cliff walk between Bondi and Coogee. Here is my interpretation of one I really liked from a Japanese sculptor, similar but different too -
