Pat - thank you, but now Tin has made a script for clear glass, I'll have to find a new toy. ;)

So here is the new toy - GIMP created images made solely from a number of different brushes created from fractal image selections (Jwildfire/Apophysis).

Issabella & RJKD - thank you both


RJKD - re your question; as I also play with JWildfire and Apophysis frac/flame programs I made a number of GIMP brushes from a few frac images I had created.

The brush shown below is the only one used in the image you mention; I created a couple of large curving paths for the larger 'tentacles' and stroked them using different brush dynamics - e.g velocity tapering, basic dynamics and track direction. I also made some eye shaped paths for stroking too.

Other areas were stroked after I used ofnuts path generator to create a series of circular paths, reducing in size, in the image bottom centre.
