Tin, how did you correct the color difference, correct the white balance?

I usually just duplicate the layer.
Then menu "Colors" > "Auto" > "White Balance", GIMP does a really good job of auto most of the time
but I duplicate layer because sometimes it's over done, so i turn down the opacity of the top layer (the layer that got Auto White-balanced). down a bit until i like it.

You're right about the White Balance. I have good success with it but sometimes it is way off. I then usually go to Colors/levels and adjust there. It is good to have several ways to attack a problem. I''ll remember your's next time if I have a problem. Thank you.

colors/levels is what i use too when auto white balance fails.
I click around using the black and white points until i like the colors, then turn down opacity of that layer if the effect is too trong.
