Paper Cutout Plug-in

Plug-in Menu Location: Python-Fu/Paper cutout
Instructions:

Plug-in options:

  1. Have an opened image, with the text/image layer selected.
  2. Run plug-in. Browse to where the texture file is located for 1st input, and select background/foreground colors and blur-radius. Click OK to run.
  3. After plug-in finishes running, use a soft brush eraser and manually erase parts you don't want shadows on the "fg shadow" layer.
  4. That's it.

Thanks, Tim. Do users have to use the texture that you supplied or can they use their own? Also, can colors also be used in place of textures?

you can use your own textures, if you want to use colors only then just create blank image and use that as texture.
The texture is 1st input which can be any image as long as it's an image so it can load and use as texture.

Oh, okay cool. I tried the plugin on text and it works. How does it work on just an image?

The image has to be a cut out of some sort like the text but shaped image...you can't do it on a full image because that's just a rectangle shape.

I also want to thank you, Tin for all the scripts that you so quickly write for any of us when we request. I am certain that takes some of your time and requires effort.
