Pat's Gimping Potpourri

Pat's Gimping Potpourri
There are so many ways and filters to use for differing effects on your photos. It is probably impossible to count them all as our Gimp Script coders are constantly writing more! That is so very nice of them!! I plan to post different ones frequently in this thread to hopefully increase their exposure and acquaint people with filters and techniques they might not know about. Please, members! Join me and add your images along with where the script or explanations can be found.
This was done using Dinasset's Texture by Area By Color SE

This is from one of OMG's Tuts. He is a master at glass. This taught how to get the "clear glass" effect. I love doing this!

Another one with original and difference with the script:
This image is from Rod's Colored Pencils Plus Another one with original and difference with the script:
While I enjoy and appreciate the filters folk go to great lengths to provide, my favorite outcome was pure serendipity, I can't remember which filters I used, I think they were the Gimp - built in ones, however, I was very pleased with this one.

Looks very nice. Maybe Tin or one of the other members will know.
Dinasset wrote a nice script that falsifies an HDR effect. It does wonders for your images.

It is a crazy photo but the work was mostly done manually. It has an out of bounds effect, and then the subject is placed in a most unlikely place. I had to do some cut, paste, layer mask for erasing and touching up. It is a crazy photo manipulation but it was good practice!!

I find that there are many, many ways to have fun with photos!! Please, I am not making any political statements, that just happens to be the name of the script. It was written by Tin Tran.

All done in gimp and G'MIC - A Retouching/Manipulating project
We were given 3 Photos
[Sorry, image no longer available]
I created a underwold scene
Mostly using circle select > cut > scale > Blend layers in G'MIC twice > the cut & paste, and clone
[Sorry, image no longer available]
Full resolution https://www.flickr.com/photos/115367823 ... 5/sizes/o/
