Very beautiful outcome, dinasset
I did it a bit different. Didn't stitch the black lines but filled it with one of your patterns and bump mapped them.

I did another one manually, for a girl (MM was more for boys).
I stitched.

Again some errors.
That's the main reason why I write scripts! not very good in manual activities, hehehe...

Beautiful girl! Even with a few errors, hehe.
Thanks for your comment.

I would like to make the background of my outcome a sort of patchwork cloth in bumped rhombus.
Any idea how to do that?

(Hope I did express myself clearly, English is not my native languish.)

Just play with the parameters of bumpmap, to find the appropriate effect.
I use it sometimes to create better contour lines.
I'm going out, now, I will see your creations when back.

Back home.
I found this pattern on Google and applied Bumpmap.
If you like you can use it.

Thank you for your searching work, dinasset.
After a bit of thinking (and making mistakes :aw_shucks_purple: :) )
I find a way to make a rhombus grid.
The bumped layer I made with bevel and emboss.

Pat I like your leaf outcome very much
