Yeah i bring in a random photo using this script.

Or if script doesn't work since it tries to download a random image to C:\temp\ and then open it.
You could just go to https://unsplash.it/1600/1200/?random yourself where you specify 1600 is width 1200 is height you can change those numbers and it'll show you random image.

Then on my gravel image, i make a copy to desaturate later and use as multiply mode.
Then select each gravel, save to path and cut away from image so i can tell which is done.
Once i have all the paths of each gravel separately i bring in a random image and select 3, 4, or 5 gravel that aren't next to each other and invert selection and cut away from random image so that what's left is just gravel shapes.

Then when i am all done, i use the desaturated original as multiply mode and adjust brightness and contrast to taste.
