Posting a Tutorial

Post#1 by Pat625 » 05 May 2017, 05:59

Tin,

How do you post a tutorial that is all contained within the post with text and snapshots? I tried that and the snapshots all ended at the bottom of the post instead of where I wanted them.

Not an answer Pat, however I asked for some education regarding this before, you've asked the question in a better way. I would appreciate a definitive answer please.

After you attach "Add the file" your snapshots, at the bottom you can click on "Place inline" for each of the added file and it'll put the attachment wherever you cursor is currently is for example
I type this text...
I put cursor here.
amorbag.png
amorbag.png # (86.93 KiB) Viewed 269 times (Watermarked | Thumbnail)
Then I "place inline" the attached image.
And now i have some text afterwards.

Just make sure you do this (placing the cursor after you've added the file). Because when you click add the file the page refreshes with the cursor defaulting to be at the very beginning of your post (and you might not the image to appear at beginning of post, so double check that).

how_to_inline_image_attachments.png # (67.05 KiB) Viewed 264 times (Watermarked | Thumbnail)
Instructions:
1) choose the file then "Add the file" (see label 1)
2) let page refresh after "Add the file", click to place cursor where you want the attached image to appear (see label 2)
3) click "Place inline" on the image you want to inline (see label 3).

I thought that is what I did but I may have made a mistake. Will try it again!
