animicule, I've tried to test the filter but I'm having problems with the patterns. The script doesn't find the right pattern. Tried if capital letter in "Metal grit-1" but it continues with the same problem.

I am sorry, I never see this thread up in the list, didn't think to look for it!
RJKD let me know and I forgot to do a quick fix, will do it later today.
The problem is the search name in the pattern, so has anyone tried the
new pattern that I put on the 1st post to see if that fixes it.
It is a .pat file, but to upload it I had to put it as .pat.txt, so be sure to
take the .txt off of the end of the filename!
Again, sorry for being late to respond....

Pat, I found that script and a bunch of others by Conbagui when I first started using Gimp last year, around April or May.
I did every one of them I could find. I liked some video tutorials, but mostly not (too many people wiggling the mouse all over the screen
and talking about anything other than the topic). But I liked every on of Conbagui's. I kind of forgot about that, but I find patterns
and brushes that I thought were from Gimp, but they were really from his tutorials. When I started trying to learn how to write script programs
(with no programming experience) by studying Dinasset's Texturize by Color Area script I didn't find any time for tutorials. But now I am finding
the tutorials a great help in learning the scripting! When I don't have an idea of what to work on, I have been following along to see what can be done!
