Scrolling Animation Logo Script for GIMP

Create scrolling animation with this script.
Instructions:
1. Have 2 layers, a background layer (could be transparent) and a layer above it as foreground.
2. Run script, enter Scroll X and Scroll Y
3. Delete the 2 layers at bottom (your original layers).
4. And you have the layers ready for animation.
You might want to use this script --> rename-layers-script-for-animated-gifs-animation-72 to help you rename your layers so that it replaces previous frames content.

Here's version 2: (It allows you have a 3rd layer, topmost to be cover over scrolling foreground).
Instructions.
1) Have 3 layers (1 bottommost background layer, 1 layer to be scrolled on top of background, 1 cover layer on topmost).
2) Run this version of script.
3) Enter Scroll X and/or Scroll Y.
4) Delete bottommost 3 layers (your original layers).
5) You are left with layers for animation.

Tin, I love your script but having trouble. How do you tell it to scroll to the left. Mine keeps going to the right. How do I adjust that? Also, I don't understand the top cover layer. I find it has to be transparent or covers the scroll and background. How does this work? :hammer_head:

edit: I see about the top layer now. Your GL logo example was not working when I first started reading the thread. It is like a frame, and the scrolling layer is inbetween. :hammer_head: :yay_yay_purple:

I still can't get to scroll to the left which is important if trying to read text.

Pat625, To make it scroll to the left, enter a negative Scroll X number.

Thanks Tin. I found that out after I posted. I put a minus before my 200 for X. Here is my result.
Now I know what I am doing I can see that I'll use this script a lot! It is quick and easy. Has a lot of potential. It will be a quick way to dress up some previous compositions!

Thanks again, Tin. You whip these scripts that make life easier! BTW, I really like the images showing larger now. I think that is a great improvement. :gimp_clap: :yay_yay_purple: :learned_something:
