Wavelet decompose (SOLVED)

I have downloaded the Wavelet decompose plug-in and unzipped it can anyone please instruct me on how to install it please (my machine is on strike re; read me files grrrrr!)

You can not install that. It is the source code for compiling the plugin.

Not sure if you are using 32 or 64 bit Windows, so attached is both.

Use the appropriate version and put the file wavelet-decompose.exe in your Gimp profile plug-ins folder, usually
C:\Users\your-name\gimp-2.8\plug-ins

RJKD,

Me, yet again!
I see Rich has sorted you out with Wavelet decompose. It is my goto for sharpening - default 5 layers, duplicate layer 1 or layer 2 or both. Possibly more than once. (Beware too many duplications will produce noise, which I have been, correctly, told off for in the past!)

But Wavelet decompose has many other uses.
