Apply Preset Curves to Visible Layers Script for GIMP

This script will apply a saved curve to all visible layers.
apply_curves_presets_to_visible_layers.zip
zipped .py file (unzip and put in your GIMP's /plug-ins/ folder)
(2.43 KiB) Downloaded 203 times
menu location: Python-Fu -> Apply Preset Curves to Visible Layers...

You'll be able to select a preset curve (a curve that you've created and saved under a name that you can identify it by changing curves then clicking the + button and it prompts a name for the settings).

I created a color curve preset, but the script's dialog doesn't give me any way of selecting it by name from it's saved location.

I got it to work anyway, by opening the saved color curve preset, within the curves dialog.
Made note of the numbers given to the curve and then ran the script and I was able to select the curve that had those numbers.

I ran the script on this gif image.
To make it look a bit more detailed.

from it's saved location? did you save it to a file instead of just clicking the + button add to favorites?
The script lets you select a named preset that was saved to favorites, not file.

Yes, that was my mistake.

Your gif makes me feel like playing that game again.
One of these days I am gonna hook up my Controller and download emulator and the rom and play it.

EDIT: Your gif has no sound (obviously) but i could just hear the sound effects in my head...so i had to view it again making sure that there is no sound coming out of the gif

Audio with a GIF file? :?
I don't think so.

I just looked for a video of the game play and went crazy taking screenshot, holding down the windows key, while frantically tapping print screens.
Opened all the screenshots as layers, cropped, scaled down a bit and exported as .gif.
I'm surprised at how well the gif images came out.
I also had to reverse the order of the layers in all the gif images.
To make them play correctly.
