Quick tip I learned in gimp (About Layer Alpha Channel)

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. I could have sworn I saw a beginner's section, but now, can't find it. Anyways, I just learned you can quickly see if a layer has an alpha channel by looking at the layers dialog. If the text of the layer is in BOLD, then the layer does NOT have an alpha channel. If it is NOT bold, then it DOES have an alpha channel. I was excited to learn I didn't have to manually look to see if there was one, or go to add one, and find out there was already one. Anyways, hope this helps someone.
