Gimp's Filmstrip script/filter is phenomenal. I used 12 images from 4 different cameras. The images are all different sizes and the filter compiled them perfectly.

The 'issue' with the LittleWebHut tutorial is the frames are quite difficult to keep in proportion due the the resizing when stretched, therefore you can only use a few frames, unlike the seemingly endless "drone" filmstrip of yours.
