Thanks Pat; this is another one for you. Hope you like this one too.

A picture of Winston Churchill; turned it into a metal carving and placed him on a bank of the Thames with the river and parliament House behind him.

Wow! That is really nice, OMG. BTW, I was going to PM you and request that you post all of your tutorials in the tutorials forum here. I would make reference to them when posting but they are not accessible since GimpChat is down. There is so much to be learned from your tutorials. New people just becoming new Gimpers would not know about them.

Pat & Issabella - thank you both. A day spent totally absorbed in carving wood - a number of tutorials uploaded and more images created ... on a role carving wood and metal -

Pat and Issabella - I appreciate your favourable comments, thank you both.

Pat - all of these last 3 images with (hopefully) metallic looking centrepieces, represent experiments. I start with either a monochrome photo or line art, then use it to do some bump mapping against a gradient or single colour, some GMIC Local Orientation, maybe some Chisel & Carve against a selected colour, then also duplicate the layer with various blend modes to finish off.
