Script of Ella's Spinning Coins

Re: Script of Ella's Spinning Coins
I agree with Pat, am going to see if the map cylinder handles the rounded corners better than
the map block, with which no luck has been found with rounded rectangles.

Help, this filter is addictive

Nice one! OMG, this filter mostly just batches Map Object In cylinder mode.
so you can 'set it and forget it'..
Are you having strange thing appear when trying to
fill the sides? I think they look nice without, but
having spent more time on the box trying to get
corners to fill (with rounded rectangle shape) in Map Object
box mode), I have yet to experiment with the Cylinder sides.
It may be easier with the cylinder..
Aside from the nice artwork, what operations do
you do 'by hand' to generate the GIF?
Do you use only GIMP?
And the Export as GIF?

Animicule - thank you; yes getting the sides filled neatly has given me some problems on non circular images, but actually that does not worry me at all!
In answer to your questions_
1. Yes only GIMP - this image was created using one of my chain link brushes, stroking circular paths in progressively decreasing diameters. Then I used colorize to vary the colour of the back and front images; then just ran your filter with a transparent background. Whilst your filter was running, I made the background using one of my own favourite gradients (borzoi brown), just progressively rotating each layer to provide animation. Then I merged the outcomes from your filter onto the backgrounds and that is it. Somewhat manually intensive but I have plenty of time
2. Yes again straight export to GIF. Where I use photos in animations, because GIF format distorts the colours, I use APNG format.

OMG. Yes, it is addictive. It is GIMP. Once hooked, there is no going back!
Your image is very pretty, and animation is mesmerizing. I love it.

Superb spinning chain OMG
I could watch it for hours

GIMP Learn rocks...
Superb image OMG, I'm not really a 'fan' of animations, however your latest creation has changed that, thankyou.

Testing and testing to find a way to 'wrap' over/uneven corners with the map cylinder. I do not have any more hopes for
map cylinder giving a good outcome on that type, or map box either. One more thing off the checklist. Next are a few
helpers for fake '3d' movement.
