Revisited an old drawing effect

Issabella - started doing your tut but could not find 'image gradient'; then I realised it was geared to 2.10 and I'm still on 2.8. Looks like I will have to take the plunge soon.

I am admin so I can edit people's posts. I just edited 1st post and cut and paste the text from the pdf in there and saved the images from pdf and uploaded them as attachments.

This last one is the "Hallerbos". Did not visit it myself. But I think it's beautiful.

Hallerbos – ‘The Blue Forest’ – is the most important and most extensive forest area between Zenne and Zoniën (Begium.) The forest is a crowd favourite thanks to the beautiful purple carpet of bluebells, which bloom around mid-April. The giant Sequoia trees also make a visit to this forest more than worth it.

With the first image, the mean was not near 0.5 in the histogram.
With the second, it was right on. I think it turned out much better.
