Hi there!

Based on the tutorial at https://logosbynick.com/create-word-art-logos-gimp/.
However, I used Ofnuts' ofn-bend-path script.

You could make an entire zoo :-) (Elephants, Whale, Snake, Fish, etc).

Krikor, How nice and attractive shape! I like it a lot and you have done it great! :gimp_clap:
Thanks for the link, I'll try to do it, too.

Krikor, I-ve tried it but my result is terrible. Could you give me some guidelines to follow? only if you have enough time. Thank you so much. Also, I have a problem with script, giving error. Any indication about the script? :thank_you:

Hi Issa!
Cool you liked it!

It would be a pleasure to help you in any way.

I will try to summarize the points that can be used as a reference:
Text tutorial link: https://logosbynick.com/create-word-art-logos-gimp/
Video tutorial link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EFoz6ic0Wc

I used the Ofnuts script: ofn-bend-path
Link to download the script (although I could bet you already have this script): https://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-p ... s/scripts/

Links that explain the use of the script:

My .xcf of this image:

It is also possible to use images directly from their silhouettes: https://www.clipart.email/clipart/anima ... 03939.html

I hope this information can be useful.

Godd fun! ;)

Krikor, your information is complete and I appreciate it a lot. The problem is that I am not good at this effect. :gaah:
My tries don't have the nice effect of the text. Anyway, I'll try it again in short time. :paint
I post my process, just in case you wanted to take a look. Thanks a lot, Krikor.

Hi Issa, I took a look at your .xcf (attachment) and the result seemed correct. You played the tutorial perfectly! :2_Thumbs:
Perhaps the space between the letters was a little too wide. I would suggest reducing this space, but it will depend on font for font.
I tried to get a result based on your xcf but I don't have the font you used, so I had to use another font.

I believe that for each silhouette the complexity will be different and the adjustments should also be customized. I found the cat harder than the buffalo.

There is a very good tip from Rich2005 to help you choose the font. Even though it will be deformed to fill the silhouette better.

Thank you so much Krikor for your help and deems. I completely agree with you. Each image will need the right adjust for a nice final result. And very important the font, too. I think I used "Heavy Arial" but not sure.
I love the result you did and it's nice what you removed thin space close to the first and final lettering. That helps a lot to be a better result. Thank you so much, Krikor. :gimp_clap: :thank_you:
Gimper, I like your outcome a lot. You got to keep a nice effect on the shape. :paint

Issa, you are super welcome :hi5: (é um prazer ser-te útil ;) )

Inspired by Gimper's approach in post #6

On the first try, I got close, and got a good result, but not yet a Gimper-style result.

In the second, image at the bottom, I finally understood the concept!

Thank you very much Gimper!
