A Raspberry Surprise

Last summer I found this little cutie hiding in our raspberry patch.

The doe had deposited her newborn fawn there while she was off feeding. It never moved, except its eye followed me as I took a few pics. I went back to the house, checked a couple of hours later & it was gone. Mom had come back & collected her baby. I saw them another couple of times during the summer & baby was growing well.

Yes Ella, it certainly was a treasured moment....I got quite a few pics, farther back & closer, just to show how well the fawn blended into the background....the white spots on the fawn indicated that it wasn't very old....

This pic is farther back, no zoom....the newborns instinctively know to remain perfectly still...I moved very slowly so I wouldn't startle it...

The frame I used is from the G’MIC plugin....I just kept trying the different frames to see which one I liked best... :D ...
