I caught the gimp bug a few months ago, but had a terrible time trying to find resources, tutorials, examples or just ideas. Then I came upon this site and was in awe and frankly a little intimidated by the beautiful art I was seeing. I'm grateful y'all have welcomed me, most of my pics are from tutorials, I do sometimes go off on my own ideas lol it's hit or miss. Anyway i'm not gonna flood the few I have but here are a couple. Oh yeah I suck at proofreading until after I post so sorry in advance!!

I felt exactly the same way not so long ago, for me Gimp has been quite a steep learning curve (on-going) and I'm renowned for getting in a tangle, however here and at Gimp Chat, folk have been patient, tolerant, understanding, encouraging and helpful. Great images by the way.

Just the same for me :)
It takes more time to try and fail than to create something that's worth posting
But that's why we're here: to learn.

Nice outcomes!

Now my second furry one, and one that nearly drove me crazy lol. One is a remake of the wonderful tutorial from conbagui (hope I spelled that correctly) the other was a youtube tut.

I'm not sure how 2 of one photo came up? Or how to remove it? Found my goof and fixed it.

Your images are very nice. Don't get discouraged if something is difficult or hard to do. Just ask, someone will be able to help.

gnerd, you have started with very beautiful images. You have been able to change the original colours and give them a personal look of yours. As Pat says, only ask for guide or tutorials and somebody here will be able to help you. It's really nice to have you in this nice forum. :happy_purple:
