After following the discussion on GC about lens flare, I decided to see if I could emulate the "dreamy" effect produced by a vaseline coated filter. Here is one of my attempts - before and after. Comments please!!!

david.
David, I don't know which expression is used in English to express something that we are not familiar with or familiar with, but a literal translation into English would be "That is not my beach." (Essa não é a minha praia)
So I do not feel very comfortable commenting.

Maybe you're getting the desired effect, I could not say otherwise.
But personally I don't like the final results very much, I seem to have an excess; both in quantity, size and uniformity.
As I said, I do not feel comfortable and could not do better.

Maybe if the lens-flare were not so many and so homogeneous. The image was covered by them, creating a visual nuisance.

I hope I have been helpful in contributing to my impression.

Krikor,

An excellent result on the photograph!

Your comments are welcome and much appreciated.
It was an experiment to emulate an effect which was popular in photographs and film in the 1940's and 1950's.
The results were probably overdone and the subjects were not ideal!

I must try to find a more suitable photograph and be more restrained.

Another try - again probably overdone.
Yet one more of Issabella's beautiful photographs I have spoiled!

Steve Reid and David, I was satisfied with the result I got in this picture. Many times I have something in mind as a desired result, but I fail to get anything close to that. Thanks for the comments guys.

David, that word, "overdone," was what I needed to express myself better in my previous comment, it simplifies and defines well what I have complicated to express.

The result in the picture garden3.jpg was very good, not as overdone as in the previous images, and the created climate refers to serendipity (Thanks @oldmangrumpy for the wealth of vocabulary), to a romantic mood. It seems like you are mastering this effect over and over!

I couldn't resist playing with a photograph of Issabella's that she used to try my colour-cast script.

I used my David1 Luminosity masks script and put a new layer in overlay mode, 30% opacity, colour FFA200, over the DD Layer.
(I know that Issabella likes autumn colours!!!)
Here are the before and after.
