this was generated using version 2 of plug-in as well.
found black on transparent logo of wilbur.
just removed alpha channel so that it fills transparent with white so plug-in can do it's work (plug-in needs a background color to work with).

Tim,
I've ran the script more than once and I still get the multi colored gradient icon as the finished result. (That's if you run a jpg image or a png image.) There's definitely an error there.Image

I only changed the colors for the icon itself. That's with version 2 of the plugin in.

Tin I tried several times again, and I get a runtime error which stop the progression of the plug in. I did use Version 2.

Thank you so much Tim for your script. :thank_you:
This is my first result by default and it ran quick and no problems.

I have layerfx.py but when I ran the script, I didn't get what it's supposed to produce.

I don't know why that is...Pat's error was there because it complained about a layerfx call. maybe you have the same thing.
Attach your source image that you ran from I see if i can reproduce error on my machine.

When I run the script on the third try, that is when I get the gradient layer. There is an error in the script.
Here is the image I used:

I suggest that you try running the script three times and see what you come up with. The first time I ran it with the default colors.. no problem, 2nd time I used different colors.. no problem. 3rd time I used different colors.. problem.. gave me the gradient icon result.

I just tried one with the default colors and it worked fine.
Then I used edit and undid the create icon script, so everything was the same.
This time I used different shades of blue and got the weird gradient button.
