With this one i deleted the top layer (the copy of background, overlay).
Recreated overlay with shadow included, And used displace and used the fill layer as input for displace map and whirl of 20 pinch of 20.

Tin - that is an impressive script (but I would say that wouldn't I :D ).

Excellent results and I almost feel like I have my name up there in lights; I am presuming that if one uses black text on a white background as the topmost layer, then the result will be glass text.

Oh, and don't forget Brumbies not Brummies!

Quickly tried the script out for text and with some minimal 'jiggery pokery' on the created layers, you can create outline or filled glass text - voila ...

OOPS I forgot to alter the shadow for the outline text, but that really matters not

Hi Tim,
A suggestion for enhancement (if possible):
If one doesn't use it for longer one might forget what it needs (2 layers, one black and white). Would it be possible to add a hint for that? At the top where it says aka transparent glass. I would do it myself if I knew how.
